Overview

The Good Shepherd Montessori School is a government-approved Christian Montessori school in New Owerri, Imo State, committed to giving children a strong foundation for lifelong learning, character, confidence and responsible living.

We believe that every child is uniquely gifted and deserves an educational environment where curiosity is encouraged, talents are discovered and character is deliberately developed. Our approach combines quality academic education, Montessori principles, Christian values and practical learning experiences to help children grow intellectually, socially, emotionally and morally.

From our Early Child Care and Creche, Play Group, Reception and Kindergarten programmes through our Primary School, we provide a child-centred learning experience designed to meet children at their different stages of development. Our pupils learn through engaging educational materials, guided discovery, practical activities and carefully structured instruction that encourages them to think, explore, ask questions and develop a genuine love for learning.

At The Good Shepherd Montessori School, we place strong emphasis on academic excellence and character formation. Our programmes include Mathematics, English Language, French, Music, Arts, Computer Education, Diction and Phonics, alongside Bible Study, functional skills and other enriching experiences. We also provide access to a quality library, multimedia learning, field trips and other activities that extend learning beyond the classroom.

Most importantly, we see education as a partnership between the school and the home. Through parental involvement and a caring, child-friendly environment, we work together with parents to give every child the attention, guidance and opportunities needed to thrive.

With dedicated teachers, specialist instruction, Montessori educational resources, Christian values and supportive services including door-to-door school transportation, medical care, early-bird drop-off and after-school care, we strive to make your child's educational journey meaningful, safe and rewarding.
